One way ticket to India documents the best photos of my travels across India and South East Asia. I travelled through 6 countries in 3 months in 2016, it was a life-changing experience.

I openly cried at least 3 times whilst travelling and these were tears of joy. It was profoundly strange but happened after beautiful moments/challenges, like reaching the peak of Mt Annapurna. There are some things that photos can’t show you, some experiences that are hard to explain. You just have to do it for yourself with an open mind because travel really is education.

I had no expectations either, I just booked a one-way ticket to India with the intention to explore and embrace whatever flows my way. People’s enthusiasm for exploring and knowing more about the world gave me ideas and in exchange, I reciprocated the same energy to others. Now I have friends all over the world. I’ve got nothing but love and appreciation for every country I visited and the beautiful people I met.

My advice to anyone who wants to travel is that there is only so much you can plan, don’t get caught up knowing everything. Just chuck yourself out there and embrace it. There will always be a home when you get back so definitely don’t make that an excuse. Just do it.

In the end, we only regret the change we didn’t make.
